Maximo Park share new single – play Cambridge

gigs Band bring fifth album to Cambridge on May 15th

Maximo Park have shared the next single to be lifted from their forthcoming fifth album, ‘Risk To Exist’. The band will be in Cambridge on May 15th when they play the Cambridge Junction, tickets here.

Alternative pop experts Maximo Park, their new is ‘What Did We Do To You To Deserve This?’ is a searing combination of barbed lyrics railing against social inequality and phone nostalgia. It is a head nodding, sparse funk groove, the track is a great encapsulation of the two elements that combine to such potent effect on forthcoming album ‘Risk To Exist’ (released April 21st on Daylighting).

‘Risk To Exist’ was co-produced by Tom Schick (Wilco, Beck, White Denim) and Maximo Park. Keen for the inspiration of unfamiliar surroundings after writing the album in their native North-East, the band decamped to Wilco’s studio, The Loft in Chicago, in Autumn 2016 and recorded the record completely live.
