After a break of five years since his debut LP, Benjamins Francis Leftwich returned with the beautiful ‘After The Rain’ last summer, on March 14th Leftwich returns to Cambridge when he plays the Cambridge Junction, tickets on sale here.

Following the release of his 2011 acclaimed debut album ‘Last Smoke Before the Snowstorm’, a record which has gone on to sell 100,000 copies worldwide and over 150 million global Spotify plays, Leftwich’s life was thrown into an unexpected path when he went through one of the hardest things in life, the loss of a parent and his number one source of inspiration, his father. Sophomore album ‘After The Rain’ released last summer is a body of work that is the sound of Benjamin finding peace with himself once more. Written during those months which saw him at his lowest, it is a creation that exists between light and dark; one that is delicate yet grand, melancholic yet optimistic, whilst remaining utterly timeless.

This tour also includes a series of residency shows at new London venue Omeara. Each show will feature a line-up curated by Benjamin himself, making them an incredibly special series of events. Joining Benjamin on the first Omeara show on 2nd March is Rosie Carney & George Cosby, with Laurel & Travis Is A Tourist as special guests on 9th March and Grace Lightman added to the third date on the 16th March.

Ahead of an extensive UK tour, Benjamin Francis Leftwich has unveiled a cover of Placebo’s ‘Pure Morning’.

Imparting his own unique style on the 1998 classic, Benjamin’s version is a haunting take, one that shines a new light on the emotive lyrics with stunning vocals and delicate electronic undertones. It is a definitive sound that resonated across his recent second album After The Rain.
