South London group SWEAT will play The Portland Arms on November 3rd, when they open for Hooton Tennis Club, tickets on sale here.

The band, who include former Cambridge residents, produce a breathtakingly thick slant on murky, sexually charged synth-pop. With the release of the darkly synth-laden Be Complete and the woozy B-Side Tambourine earlier this year, SWEAT began to solidify their vision. Emboldened by the release of Acid Rainbow and its wildly ambitious video, the band have forged a new sonic world. Their latest single ‘PLW VIP’ sees the band delve deeper into their expanding sonic landscape. Propelled by a rolling Bhangra groove, the 6 minute-long track swells and throbs towards a mesmeric climax driven by Acid synths, Primal drums and backwards guitars.
