Grieving are a new, unsigned band from Cambridge, playing direct, twisting art-punk. Their first demo was debuted by tastemakers The FADER last month and they’ve sincre released a second track online, the raw, dual vocalled post-hardcore / 90’s indie-rock of “Ownership”. The latest glimpse of Grieving got it’s debut on Radio 1’s Rock Show, on which Daniel P Carter remarked of the track, “They sound like they have impeccable record collections. I like it a lot. They remind me of a lot of amazing bands I used to listen to back in the day.”
The band played their first shows over the last couple of months, alongside the likes of Tellison, the much buzzed about Muncie Girls and Three Trapped Tigers and have recorded six songs set for release as an EP release, “Demonstrations”, in July.
In debt to the likes of Les Savy Fav, Television, Bear vs Shark, Dismemberment Plan, Fugazi and elsewhere the lo-fi pop and fully charged punk of Guided By Voices, Samiam, The Lemonheads, Bob Mould etc.
