Recently seen on tour with Deap Vally, at festivals including Reading, Leeds and Bestival, and strongly tipped following their introductory singles ‘I Wanna Dance (But I Don’t Know How)’ and ‘Deadbolt’, SKATERS are set to release their debut album ‘Manhattan’ on February 24th on Warner Bros. To coincide with the news the band have made new track ‘Miss Teen Massachusetts’ available to stream.

SKATERS’ music, ethos, and attitude are remarkably entrenched in the late nights, eclectic characters and punk roots of their New York City home. The band formed after singer/songwriter Michael Ian Cummings got a call from English guitarist Josh Hubbard (previously a member of The Paddingtons and Dirty Pretty Things) to announce that he’d be arriving in NYC the following day from the UK. Hubbard landed 24 hours later and crashed drummer Noah Rubin’s birthday party.
