Part band, part installation, Space F!ght are a Polish collective founded by Radek Rudnicki whose shows explore the interaction between live instrumentation and immersive, 3D visuals. Musically, they incorporate elements of jazz, electronica and ambient genres blended into something almost entirely new and sonically arresting; visuals are generated live and mapped in response to the environment. With their Cambridge date set to happen in The Leper Chapel, the oldest complete building in Cambridge will play host to some of Europe’s most cutting edge music.

Other members include sometime Cambridge resident Tom Adams (now studying a PhD in Huddersfield), Mercury-Award nominated James Mainwaring (Roller Trio saxophonist and PhD student at York), and Jakub Hader (an international visual artist from Poland). The tour is partly funded by Sound and Music, and has been fairly appropriately dubbed the ‘Sci-Fi’ Tour.

On their Cambridge date, Space F!ght will be playing alongside Slate favourites The Soft – click here for a review of their latest EP ‘Uncanny Valley’. Full tour dates are below, along with exclusive promo track ‘The Name’.
